Battery Point have been consistently delivering some great tunes for the past few years and Desire keeps that run of success going. It contains all the ingredients that have made have the band stand out and Desire errs between the lines of indiepop and shoegaze with the joint vocalists sounding better than they have ever done. Both tracks are 1980s-inspired or in the case of Oblivion 100% inspired by New Order’s Age of Consent such are the similarities between the two. Not bad then!
