Hull’s bdrmm will be releasing their debut album via Sonic Cathedral later this year. It’s one of the first songs the band wrote and is about letting go when a relationship ends. The label describes Happy as “Just Like Heaven’ meets the first DIIV album” and whilst I am not sure about that it’s a great jangling alt-rock/dreampop track that bodes well for that debut. Austrian band Molly are now signed to London’s Sonic Cathedral which is the ideal home for their spacious shoegaze sound. They released their debut album All That Ever Could Have Been back in June and one of my favourite tracks from that release (there are a few!) Weep, Gently Weep is now out in a remixed form.
