It’s no secret that The Bodines are a huge influence on Celeb Carr aka English Summer.  On his latest single You, which Carr writes “It’s simple, isn’t it? You is a love song”  those influences are taken in order to deliver some borrowed but something new too. The retro jangling sound that was found on Creation Records back in the early 1980s dominates  the song whilst Carr’s voice deliver those words of love in his somewhat distinct semi-spoken style.  A song for a time capsule regardless of whether it’s past, present or future.
