The label states that it’s “a special treat for our fans during the coronavirus isolation.” The album features acts from their roster both past and present including Sugar World and their blissful We Fell In Love track, Fawns of Love, Day & Dream and The Memory Fades. A round up of sorts! Jetstream Pony have recently released a new track in the shape of Yellow Pills. Not sure the of the history of this one aside that it was recorded last Autumn but it’s a fine fuzzy pop song none the less. Crank it up. The Memory Fades set the bar pretty high on their debut She Loves The Birds EP which was released earlier this year so the Space Pilot EP has a tough act to follow. Once again Stephen Maughan (Bulldozer Crash/Kosmonaut) is joined by a group of friends and flip me, they manage to pull it off once more. The opening and title track is a fuzzy pop number and contains the best end rhyming lyrics in indiepop circles (sky – high, been – seen) since The Mighty Lemon Drops. The Memory Fades is the new project from Stephen Maughan (Bulldozer Crash/Kosmonaut). On the She Loves The Birds EP Maughan is joined over various songs by Marc Elston (Bulldozer Crash/Franklin’s Kite/The Liberty Ship), Graeme Elston (Eva Luna/Astronaut/Love Parade), Jyoti Mishra (White Town) and Chris Morgan (The Deddingtons). So the pedigree is there. What about the music? Yeah, that ain’t bad either! There are lot of late 1960s psychedelic influences throughout the first two tracks, the title track and Picture Of You.
