Disasters seems to be the debut release from German post-punk band Cold. Opener The Evil Moon is the ideal track to grab your attention fusing fuzzy guitars and female vocals to great effect. There is a brief interlude with 37 seconds of what sounds like noises in a haunted cellar in the shape of //////////////////// before it’s followed by Ashes. That too is an attention grabbing track which, like The Evil Moon before it, is due to the way the singer sings supplementing the power-pop/punk pop guitars and pounding drums.
