London’s The Lunar Towers have impressed me with their two singles to date which mixed elements of punk, power-pop and new wave. I previously wrote that the bands music would not have been out of place on the wonderful Messthetics compilations which featured music from 1979-1983. Nothing on the band’s third single Southern Love will dissuade me from those thoughts given it’s a short burst of retro power pop focussing on a new crush. Does it result in unhappiness or joy?
