The Post Bandcamp Friday (and very late Sunday) Sampler

Another sampler for you to enjoy. I hope you do as I note that the Youtube playlists do not get that many plays. Not sure how else to put these together if I stick with the samplers. Or maybe there is no interest at all?

Here is the Playlist:

or listen on YouTube.

Track Listing:

The Boys With The Perpetual Nervousness – Look Back

The second single to be taken from the forthcoming album The Third Wave Of... which will be released via Bobo Integral on 09 July 2022. The track is a fine jangle pop tune as you could wish for. Pre-order the album from here.

The Photocopies – The Not Knowing

You must know by now what you are getting from prolific The Photocopies. If not you have been missing some of the finest fuzzy indie/noise pop of the past year or so. This tale of a destructive individual could well be one of the best Sean Turner has produced since first appearing in June last year.

Squiggles – We Only Came Here For Your Hearts

There has been a bit of serious fawning about Glasgow’s Squiggles since February’s Look What We Have Done EP was released and which has since been reissued by Alcopop Records – I think! It’s hard not to hear why on the EP’s standout track We Only Came Here For Your Hearts which is a fine blend of punk-pop and indiepop.

Buddhist Bubblegum – Merry-Go-Round

Ljubljana’s Buddhist Bubblegum sound very much like the La’s on the second single to be taken from forthcoming album Dreaming of The Desert. Very 1960s inspired and the album is due out later this year via Cavern Brew Records.

Parlor Hour – Demon Shuffle

Noisy, twee/lo-fi indie rock which has more than a few Beat Happening influences. It’s out now via Post-Bordeaux Records and is backed with the just as good Cute Song.

Soft Powder – Close Your Eyes

Bedroom pop/dreampop from down under. It’s taken from the current album Somewhere Like Paradise which is available from here.

Flores de Uranio – Netflix (En Mi Caparazón)

Taken from the new singles compilation titled La Condición Humana. Fuzzy indiepop from Madrid. The album is out now via Nemutai Samurai.

Voxtrot – The Start of Something

Originally released in 2005 this Smiths inspired track can be found on the forthcoming compilation Early Music which compiles tracks from the Raised By Wolves EP (2005) and the Mothers, Sisters, Daughters & Wives EP (2006). It was good to hear them all again! The album can be purchased from here.

Sarakiniko – Fall Will Pass

Fall Will Pass is taken from Sarakiniko’s debut album Red Forest which is out now via La Maison des Corbeaux. It’s a blend of pop and shoegaze with catchy parts throughout whether it’s the words, chorus or the music.

Holiday Ghosts – Credit Note

Credit Note is the title track of the Falmouth based Credit Notes forthcoming EP. Just when I was bemoaning the decline of the UK indiepop on babdcamp in the past month or so this garage hybrid track turns up. It’s very good indeed. I am sure the rest of the EP will be too. It’s available to pre-order and is available as a limited edition 2 x 7″ release with two extra tracks that are not available in the digital version.
