New York’s Always You, who feature ex-members of The Depreciation Guild, Beach Fossils and The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart in their line-up, release their new album Bloom Off The Rose on July 16th 2021. Black City Nights is the third single to be lifted from the album after Rio De Janerio and Hold Out.
The track sticks with the 1970s/early 1980s vibes that adorned Hold Out and has a beat reminiscent of some of Blondie’s disco excursions whilst the deadpan vocals tell the story as they draw the listener in. The video is simply delightful.
Bloom Off The Rose will be a joint release between Shelflife Records (US) and Discos De Kirlian (ESP) and is available to pre-order in both digital and vinyl formats.
