Dummy – Dummy EP

Dummy, the band led by ex Wildhoney member Joe Trainor, have released their self titled debut EP. It’s a great blend of styles featuring noise pop, shoegaze, fuzzy guitars, drone and ambient not to mention some psychedelic pop. Lead track Angel’s Gear has that in abundance, wowing me back in January and I have been waiting for this EP ever since! Dummy – Angel’s Gear

Dummy hail from Los Angeles and Angel’s Gear is their first track. And it’s not a bad one to start with as it blends 1960’s psychedelia and pop. The vintage moog sound that runs throughout the song also gives it a Krautrock “feel” making not only one to nod your head too but also one for the dance-floor. Given the track listing on the artwork it’s safe to say a fully fledged EP will be coming along soon and based on Angel’s Gear I cannot wait to listen to some more.
