Special Friend have released a second single from their soon-to-be appearing album, Wait Until the Flames Come Rushing in. Titled Selkie it’s a complete contrast to the noisy first single Bête being a delicate and, at times, a beautiful affair. And what’s a Selkie you may ask? They are mythological creatures that can shape-shift between seal and human forms by removing or putting on their seal skin.
The band is playing a special gig at the Lexington in London on June 30th 2023 alongside Skep Wax label mates Panic Pocket and Swansea Sound, to celebrate the launch of their album. Tickets are available from here.
