Sissy Space Echo & The Invisible Collaborators – Song For Jennifer

Sissy Space Echo & The Invisible Collaborators were founded from the ashes of Girl One And The Grease Guns and the Edible Eyes a few years back. They also feature ex-members of The Blanche Hudson Weekend and The Manhattan Love Suicides. After a couple of excellent singles and contributions to the Signals, Wires & Amplifiers series, they will be releasing their new album From A Land Of Glass Without Mirrors next month.

Song For Jennifer is a taster for the album. It’s the sound of a dystopia, whether it’s past, present or future, and comes complete with electronica with a retro feel. Caroline McChrystal’s narrative style vocals lift the words over the sometimes industrial beats, with some nice touches musically to add diversity. You can let your imagination run riot with this one.

From A Land Of Glass Without Mirrors will be released on September 18 2023. It’s available in limited edition vinyl via the Greek label Old Bad Habits Label or on limited CD, which contains five extra tracks, from Next Phase : Normal Records. Check their Facebook page for details of pre-orders.
