The Tubs – Dead Meat

Dead Meat is the title track taken from The Tub’s latest album which will be released via Trouble In Mind Records on the 23rd of this month. If this noise/power pop sounds familiar it may be because some of the band members were in Joanna Gruesome and currently in Ex-Vöid. You can pre-order Dead Meat from here.

UJU – Promises

Promises is the second single to be taken from the new long-player The Sun is in our Eyes which will be released by Melt Records at the end of the month. It sounds to me like a cross of New Order style guitars supplemented by the voice of The Sunday’s Harriet Wheeler. That’s a big thumbs up then for this Filipino dreampop band.

Appleseeds! – Hungry Mouth

Appleseeds! is, in their words, “a quirky indie-pop duo from Copenhagen, Denmark.” Hungry Mouth is the band’s second single. Like the first single the track errs towards the twee side of things but the guitars get turned up further whilst working wonderfully with the joint vocals and harmonious melodies. It’s lifted from the debut album æblefrø which is due for release via Too Good To Be True later this month. No pre-order link as yet.
