Hazel hail from Jakarta and currently comprise of Prima (vocal/guitar), Rio (guitar), Wawan (guitar), Peter (bass) and Ade Kris (drums). The band originally formed in 2005 taking their influences from the likes of My Bloody Valentine, Pale Saints, Chapterhouse and Slowdive. They recorded just three songs, which were re-released last year, and that was it. Well until now.

The band have resurfaced a new single which surpasses those previous three songs. The shoegazing influences remain on Over My Head but it’s not an identikit version of any of those names listed above. It’s a much more rounded, mature sound and the vocals give it a distinct and catchy edge. The band are putting together a new EP. Until then pick up Over My Head from TarsiusRecs.
