A new week, a new job and a selection of new tunes to kick it all off. Really liking the albums from Pulse Park and Joni Île. It’s good to hear the Memory Girls track again after all this time. As ever, enjoy!

Films On Song – Still I Try
Business School – Island Of The Pears
The title track of the brand new EP which is where jangle and dreampop collide.
Pulse Park – Sine Wave
Sine Wave is taken from the new album Phonac Music which is out now on Shore Dive Records. The label describes the band as “The perfect blend of Radiohead, Placebo and Joy Division”. Not grabbed a full listen yet but liked what I have heard and it sounds like the poppier end of the shoegaze spectrum. Apollonian Heart is certainly a wonderful track.
Memory Girls – Our Freedom, Our Darkness
Originally released ten years ago now via Too Young Records this wonderful indiepop track gets a reissue courtesy of the blue-very label and a new compilation EP titled A Young Person’s Guide to Blue-very featuring four acts from the label. Available from here at the usual way expensive Japanese prices.
Dottie – Flood
Austin’s Dottie returns with a beautiful ethereal shoegazing track. I cannot say more than that.
Beverly Kills – The Getaway
The Getaway is the first single to be taken from the Gothenburg based outfit’s debut album Kaleido that is due to be released via Welfare Sounds & Records later this year. An excellent pop song that takes in both dreampop and post-punk influences. It should appeal to fans of Wet leg.
Sinaïve – Ténèbres
Colatura – R U Content
The latest single to be lifted from the brand new album And Then I’ll Be Happy that is out now. You can get it from here.
The Earth Earth – Cider
Joni Île – Marions-nous
Marions-nous is a wonderful bedroom\twee pop song taken from the album Météorage which is out now on cassette and digital formats. Get it from here.
