Mother Solitude is the second single to be taken from Echoberyl’s forthcoming third album. There are three versions here and it’s the Club Mix that leads they way, heading straight to the post-punk dancefloor with it’s cold wave laden beats. The band’s obvious love of New Order shines is plain to hear on this mix.
I am not sure if the Harmonium version will be the one that surfaces on the album. It’s a slower affair complete with haunting vocals and the sound of church organs. Very sombre indeed. The La Sorciere remix is my pick of the bunch with it’s pulsating electro beats. No matter what version you listen to the vocals of singer Cecilia Dassonneville are striking, catchy and ultimately dominant.
This three track selection is exclusive to bandcamp and can be purchased from here.
