Is it me or does Story Is Wrong by Japanese band The Earth Earth sound like it could have been taken from one of Ride’s first three EPs? After listening to this track I feel 30 years of musical history going by in a flash! Regardless of whether it’s 1989 or 2019 shoegaze tracks like this still sound relevant. Story Is Wrong is enjoyable stuff and I have started trawling through the band’s earlier work already. Nothing from 1989 mind, but they have been around since 2011 so plenty to get through!
