Track Listing:
Seablite – Ink Bleeds
Ink Bleeds is the b-side of January’s Breadcrumbs single but it now has a brand new video to accompany it. There are still copies of the 7″ single left at Emotional Response.
Ex-Vöid – No Other Way
No Other Way is taken from the London based noise poppers brand new album Bigger Than Before. That album can be purchased via London’s Prefect Records or the New Jersey based Don Giovanni Records.
No One Sphere – Twin Coasts
Twin Coasts is the opening track from Washington DC’s No One Sphere’s new mini-album Isn’t Everything About Something which is out now via Broken Sound Tapes.
Cat Fiction – Polvo
Polvo is the new single from the Mexican band Cat Fiction. The track is a mix of post-punk and alternative pop. It’s out now via the Mexico City based We Are One Records.
Glove – Mirror Image Blue
Intuitive post-punk/new wave found on the the new album Boom Nights from Tampa’s Glove. Get it from here.
Crystal Eyes – Like a Movie
Like a Movie is the third single to be taken from the forthcoming album The Sweetness Restored. Admittedly it’s not as strong as the previous two – well to my ears that is It’s missing the New Order influences that encapsulated both Wishes and Don’t Turn Around and is a fuzzy, psych tinged alt-rock track. It may make sense more when the album is released. The Sweetness Restored can be pre-ordered from Bobo Integral Records.
Boy With Apple – Brighter Than the Sun
The very 1990s sounding Brighter Than the Sun is a track where dream pop and trip hop collides. Some nice bass sounds too as the band’s sound develops further. It’s out now via VÅRØ
Slo Moon – Sunrays
Dreamy, laidback and ethereal shoegaze courtesy of Savannah’s and, new to me, Slo Moon. Must give February’s Moonsun EP a spin too based on hearing this impressive track.
Pinch Points – Am I Okay?
Am I Okay? is another slice of that jagged, sharpened guitar post-punk with shouty vocals that seems to so popular these days. Some timely lyrics too. It’s taken from the band’s newly released, and impressive, second album Process which can be ordered from here.
Don’t Worry – The Scythe’s Remorseless Swing
The song is almost shorter than the title. Just don’t blink! Taken from the band’s new album Remorseless Swing which has just been released by Specialist Subject Records. Indie rock with punk, noise pop, Emo and plenty of other reference points.
