The Reds, Pinks & Purples – Slow Torture of an Hourly Wage

More sad and despondent indiepop from San Francisco’s Glenn Donaldson. From the title track, which is not as sanctimonious as the title may suggest, to the words that ring true on Seems Like We’re Always Starting Over it sounds like its always raining in Donaldson’s world. It’s the middle track Uncloudy Mind that stands out here with lyrics that resonate over folkish guitars and the accompanying Casiotone. Despite the sombreness its a joy as ever.
