What Else is Out B-Sides The Photocopies?

A roundup of tunes that arrived in my inbox over the weekend.

The Churchhill Garden – Rearview Mirror

Another slice of epic dreampop from Andy Jossi and Krissy Vanderwoude. Rearview Mirror deals with reflecting on a relationship that has ended whilst the memories bring a mix of both joy and melancholy thanks to Vanderwoude’s words and Jossi’s musicianship.

The Reds, Pinks & Purples – What is a Friend?

More gloomy pop from Glenn Donaldson. What else is there to add and/or be said about The Reds, Pinks & Purples music? Some nice casio on the flip side from Carly Putnam mind.

Cathedral Bells – Fall Into Place

A hybrid of synthpop, dreampop and lo-fi bedroom pop on the new single from Florida’s Cathedral Bells. Fall Into Place is a song that rarely deviates from it’s structure and melodies which results in an effective tune. Nice fan made videos too (here and here)

The Photocopies – Triple B-Side

The exiled Londoner Sean Turner writes that “the next few Photocopies singles have multiple A-sides, so here are some songs that could have been B-sides if only they were needed. Or something.” Well those A-Sides must be something because Something More is the project’s most mature sounding song released to date. Rest assured though that the C86 fuzziness remains courtesy of the short blasts that are Pop Quiz and Off-Kilter.
