Australian band Flyying Colours follow up their excellent debut EP with a new track called Not Today. They sound a bit like Ride meeting Dinosaur Jr with a side helping of other Creation bands such as Swervedriver and My Bloody Valentine thrown in for good measure. Clearing The Decks

I have bookmarked a lot of music to mention but time prevents me from writing about them all individually so this post is a round up of them all serving as my must buy list too! Note: if you want to listen to a companion playlist to this post head over here. The Hundredth Anniversary released their Wreckers EP back in March. Not sure why I didn’t mention it then as it’s great. Another great release on Oddbox Records. Spanish indie poppers Band A Part have a compilation of their early material and demos out on Elefant Records. It’s a … Continue reading Clearing The Decks

Minipop – Chances

Given their irregular discography San Francisco’s Minipop seem to have been going for about nine years now but this is the first I have heard of them. Their new EP Chances is packed to the rafters with shimmering guitars, etherial female vocals and dreamy, melodic rhythms. It’s lovely and a must for any dreampop/shoegaze/nu-gaze, or whatever its called it these days, fan. Available digitally via bandcamp or the usual digital stores. The Strange Creatures – I Feel Like I’m On Drugs

I Feel Like I’m On Drugs is taken from The Strange Creatures forthcoming second EP titled Stargazer which is due out in May. It’s full of interesting ideas floating between indiepop, dreampop and shoegaze but gets bogged down in parts due to the songs length. That said I am still looking forward to hearing the EP in full where it may all make sense. Homepage Facebook Continue reading The Strange Creatures – I Feel Like I’m On Drugs
