93MillionMilesFromTheSun – Watch Her Fall EP

The fact that their name is taken from a Swervedriver song should give you some clues of how this band sounds. Doncaster’s 93MillionMilesFromTheSun is a new name on me despite the imminent release of their third album Fall Into Nothing. The Watch Her Fall EP came out in February and I have been playing it more and more in recent weeks. It is simply immense none more so than on Breathe Again. Pinkshinyultrablast – Ravestar Supreme

Russian shoegazers Pinkshinyultrablast release a new single on March 30th via Club AC30. Ravestar Supreme is taken from their excellent Everything Else Matters long player and is backed with a Ledaux remix of the same track. It will available on 7″ vinyl and digital formats and you can pre-order it here. Here is another remix of the track by RxGibbs. Hopefully this one will turn up in the digital release. Intenna – Thirst

I briefly mentioned Indonesian shoegazers Intenna as part of the post on Revolution – The Shozegaze Revival. Their contribution Flowery was impressive to these ears and I decided to try and find out a bit more. I found out that Flowery was originally released as part of a split cassette single back in January 2014. Various Artists – Revolution – The Shoegaze Revival

Revolution – The Shoegaze Revival is a thirty track global dream pop/shoegaze compilation. Of all the bands that appear here Ukrainian shoegazers Ummagma were the only ones I have heard of previously. Whilst I am not sure about the revival part of the title I am still making my way through this great sounding compilation and highlights so far include Sharesprings and Intenna both of whom hail from Indonesia. The Morelings – No Sign

Any band that describes themselves as being dream pop/post punk appeals to me somewhat. The band certainly lean to the former part of the description especially on opener Less which builds up slowly before reaching a crescendo comprising of soaring guitars with ethereal female vocals thrown in for good measure. They repeat the trick on Too Far and the title track but it’s Less that I keep coming back to as it is not as polished and sounds less (no pun intended!) contrived when compared to the rest of the EP.
