The Slow Summits – Oh Me Oh My

Linköping’s The Slow Summits are one of the bands that I always look too for my dose of C86 inspired indiepop. The new single Oh Me Oh My is certainly no exception to that rule, as it invokes the Medway Scene to these ears, including The Dentists and The Claim. Lawrence & Kim – Mundane

The double sided Mundane is the new single from the Bandung based Lawrence & Kim. They have dispersed with the fuzziness found on their previous two releases. Given the last was almost three years ago, I suspect there may have been a line-up change. The songs are now driven fine programming and as much as I hate to say it, it’s hard not to draw comparisons with Sarah Records with yet another band from this Indonesian hotbed of indiepop.
