This weeks pack of three come via from three artists who tag themselves, amongst others, as Shoegaze on bandcamp. Glaze – Wasted Mind EP This EP is nearer post rock than shoegaze thanks to the guitar driven melancholic but melodic tracks contained within. Slow building layers of noise are punctured by sparse vocals that sometimes struggle to be heard behind the sonic wall. The livelier Mercury is the pick of the bunch for me. The Golden Rail are a new band but there is pedigree in their ranks as band members have been involved with the likes of The Palisades and The Rainyard amongst others. Love Dance – All The Time I haven’t heard anything from Love Dance in an age and then I heard this and I thought it was a completely different band.
