Caen’s Beach Youth are hardly what you call prolific but who doesn’t mind waiting five years between albums when songs are as good as their new single 7am.
The band describe the song as “a founding memory from our early days”. The band skipped school to play their first gig in London with everything that happened that day having a formulative effect, laying the ground for Beach Youth as a band. As for the track itself it’s a slow, hazy and in parts, just simply beautiful. It’s a stunning return and who says truancy doesn’t pay eh?
