Looks Like Rain is one of those songs that seemingly lasts longer than its actual recorded time because there is so much going on within the song. It opens like a fuzzier Lightning Seeds before descending into 1990s 4AD inspired dreampop/shoegaze. Finally, elements of white noise and ambient are added into the mix, which results in the song being ingrained in your thoughts. So much so you are still thinking about the track long after it ended. As the kids say, or maybe not these days, “it’s a banger”.
