Mind Is Light is a return to form for me by the Busan based Say Sue Me. The track builds steadily with the hazy vocals and the post-punk/shoegaze hybrid guitars working seamlessly before the guitars are left to drive through on their own for the remainder of the song. It reminded me of the bands earlier output and then I read the band’s Sumi Choi stating that the band “wanted to make a simple song like the early songs of Say Sue Me.” Sometimes simple is the best option!
