Royal Arch – Why Don’t You? (Let It All Go)

Athens based Royal Arch return with their new single Why Don’t You? (Let It All Go). The band, who sing in English rather than their native tongue, deliver a melodic track that sounds so much like what has gone before it but still manages to sound as fresh as a daisy. The track is a cross between indiepop (think The Lodger) and arty post-punk that inspired say Franz Ferdinand. The voice of Ilia Masri adds further charm as he sings about how hard it is to deal with the absence of the person you love. It’s certainly not as shoegaze inspired as the previous single La Nuit. More power to their elbow, I say!
