The Sydney based five piece Futureheaven were formed back in 2018 but have just released their debut single Tides. The band write that it was a long time coming, which has to be the understatement of the month! They also write that they have “got a whole bunch of releases coming out this year.”.

Let’s hope they remember that old adage it’s the quality not the quantity, but they have made a good start on this single which is a nice blast of vintage sounding shoegaze. The dreamy joint vocals are particularly nice, floating over the shimmering and sometimes fuzzy guitars. It certainly has that ethereal touch that I have always been a sucker for! An EP is in the pipeline but for now pick this one up from here.
