The Primitives – Don’t Know Where to Start

Indiepop stalwarts The Primitives are back with their first single in five years. Titled Don’t Know Where to Start it’s the sound of girl groups meeting C86’s fuzzy, punk inspired indiepop. Hey, there is even a bit of 1970’s glam influences to complete the jigsaw! Tracey Tracey’s vocals shine bright as ever (pun intended). It’s backed with Till I’m Alive which sees Paul Court taking over on vocals.

The 7″ vinyl version has sold out but you can get your hands on it digitally from here. I know they have been away for a while but someone should inform the band no one does 192 k/bit mp3s anymore though!

A 12″ version, with additional tracks Panic and a acoustic fuzzed version of Don’t Know Where to Start, follows early next year on happy happy Birthday To Me Records (US) and that can be pre-ordered from here. Those in the UK can pre-order from Rough Trade.
