So I am back after a wet but still fun packed week in England’s Lake District – London is still burning mind you. Unusually for me I did not listen to a thing whilst away so have spent the day catching up with new releases and stuff lost in my bookmarks meaning here is another sampler for you to enjoy. An interesting bunch of tracks!
Here is the Playlist:
or listen on YouTube.
The Photocopies – Terminal
A fuzzy indiepop instrumental taken from the new Departure EP which is out now.
Ducks Ltd. (Feat. Jane Inc) – In Between Days
The Canadian janglers cover The Cure’s 1985 hit. Taken from the band’s series of covers titled The Sincerest Form Of Flattery.
The Death of Pop – For a Minute
The title track taken from the forthcoming EP that will be released next month via Discos De Kirlian and Hidden Bay Records.
Silver Liz – Missing The Party
Sounding a bit like Stereolab on speed the new single from Silver Liz mixes up indiepop with a number of aspects found in Krautrock. The video is gleefully matched to the music but give the video a miss if you are photosensitive.
Rachel Love – Last Of The Golden Boys
A rather splendid Saint Etienne style track taken from the ex Dolly Mixture vocalist/guitarist Rachel Love’s new Stories From Another Time EP which is out now.

Renovator’s Delight – Bucket of Water
Taken from the forthcoming album Bark All Night that will be released next month via Little Lunch Records. Catchy guitar pop from down under.
The Buildings – Room So Small
Taken from the recently reissued album Heaven is a Long Exhale. The album was originally released last year via Call and Response Records (Jap) and Struggle Records (Ph). Not sure why it has seen a digital release but I am glad as I missed it the first time round! The Buildings hail from the Philippines.
The Happy Somethings – Not in This Life
Taken from the new compilation Running Away with The Happy Somethings which is out now via Subjangle. Lo-fi fuzzy twee inspired indiepop.
Angry Slippers – Let’s Get Laid
Noisy post-punk/Riot Grrrl inspired music from Berlin and a band who describe their music as “pissed rock”. It’s the title track of their debut EP which you can pick up for nowt from here.
Echoberyl – The Awakening Remixes Mixtape
A 23 minute mix comprised of remixes taken from the Awakening Remixes album. Danceable post-punk from Paris. Available on a pay what you want basis.
