2022 has already seen (heard?) some great singles and the new one from San Francisco’s The Umbrellas could be the best one to date. It’s a fuzzy indiepop explosion drawing on influences from the likes of Lazy Records, early Creation Records, 53rd & 3rd and the erm, the blonde movement. I like the lyrics referencing Upside Down and A Sunny Day which may, or not, be intentional. Party like it’s 1986.
