Aside from the limited information on the Bandcamp page that informs us that Oktober86 hail from Jakarta, Indonesia I cannot find any other information about the person and/or band behind this release. It’s obvious the love that Oktober86 has for all things indiepop and like so many Indonesian acts there is a doff of the hat in the direction of Sarah Records.
The title track, which translates as Saturday Afternoon With You, has more than a hint of The Field Mice’s Emmas House. So much so I thought it was a cover on first listen. The other three tracks are not bad either and all are fine indiepop efforts with the delightfully named Kangen Main Bola Sama Teman (Miss Playing Football with Friends) standing (jangling?) out. I have to add that the sound coming from this EP is immense and is as well produced as any I have heard. The whole EP is well worth a listen.
Sabtu Sore Bersamamu is available digitally from here.
