Dayflower – In the Clouds

I have to say this is simply outstanding from Leicester’s Dayflower.

Originally released (and initially missed by me) on Hidden Gem Records Colourwheel Compilation Volume II In The Clouds gets the full single release it so richly deserves – well based on all the listens I have given it today!

Mixing indiepop and 1960s girl band influences it results in a dreamy, hazy mix. It’s backed with Wonder Why a song that continues in the same vein but adds in joint male/female vocals alongside stirring percussion resulting in a “wall of sound” (pun intended).

If I was a rich man I would start another label just to get this out on 7″ vinyl – sigh. Until someone takes that on you can pick it up digitally from here.
