Witterings from an old indie kid

Suffering For Kisses – Culture

As the sun finally comes out and shines down on old London town the music I am listening too gets a tad gloomier! I have been enjoying Suffering For Kisses music for a while now and I am not sure why I haven’t mentioned them before.

Their music, well one Tony D’Oporto’s, is Gothic tinged post-punk driven by both guitars and synths. The vocal style is deadpan, almost spoken whilst the words are despairing, dejected. Even in the sun Culture gets me thinking of pouring rain and graveyards. And do you know what? That’s just how I like it.
