Get ready to pogo this weekend…. Hackney based punk label La Vida Es Un Mus Discos were one of my discoveries of last year and I picked up a few releases from them. They source punk from all over the globe and these three releases will soon be added to last years additions.

Rata Negra – Oído Absoluto
Debut album from Spanish punk band Rata Negra. No idea what they are singing about but the songs sound great and verge on the poppier side of punk.
Available digitally from either the label and band. I think there will be a physical release on Spanish label Beat Generation but cannot find any links (yet..)

Rat Cage – Caged Like Rats 7″
Pissed off? Sheffield based one man band Rat Cage certainly is and has created some meaningful, loud and very angry music on this 7″ none more so than the title track. Get it!

Rixe – Paris-Est
Paris-Est is taken from the French Punks Rixe’s forthcoming EP Baptême Du Feu which is due for release in March. It’s powerful, catchy and damn right essential to these ears. Storming.
