The Flatmates only existed between 1986-1989 the first time around but, like most artists on band member Martin Whitehead’s The Subway Organisation label, they have had a lasting impact. The Flatmates – Shut Up and Kiss Me

Indiepop stalwarts The Flatmates release a new single next month on the brand new Greek based label Old Bad Habits. Shut Up and Kiss Me​ is the sound of a band doing what they do best. Thriving guitars, melodic keyboards and singer Lisa Bouvier’s attention grabbing vocals making this a song hard to miss. The Flatmates – You Held My Heart

Indiepop legends The Flatmates, albeit with a new line up, release their first single in 23 years on 24th August. Entitled You Held My Heart it’s backed with One Lass Kiss and is available on 7″ via the Archdeacon Of Pop Records. As for that revised line up the band now comprise of original members Martin (guitar) and Rocker (keyboards) as well as newcomers Lisa (vocals), Verity (bass) and Brian (Drums). Lisa Bouvier – Every Year Until We Die

Every Year Until We Die is the first single/track taken from Bouvier’s forthcoming album Lay Down Your Life For A Song. You can download it for free or any monies you may part with will go towards The Midland Railway Trust which is the home of Indietracks. And that’s also not the only news about Bouvier.
