Chorusgirl – No Moon (100 Club Series 7″)

Wow. No Moon is a stonking tune full stop. Can an old man say stonking? Too bleedin’ right I can. Sounding like the past (think Modettes, Dolly Mixture, Girls At Our Best and more recently Liechtenstein) No Moon also sounds right for both present and future dancefloors. The chorus is too die for making the song sound like an updated White Mouse Disco. Flip side Dream On, Baby Blue ain’t bad but to be fair it’s completely blown away by the a-side. Next weekend sees the fifth and final Oddbox Weekender. To celebrate this fact the label have released a free 27 track compilation featuring bands who are playing over the course of the three days. Various – Oddbox 2014

Oddbox Records have released a pay as much as you want compilation highlighting their releases this past year. It features tracks from the likes of The Wolfhounds, The Wendy Darlings, Tyrannosaurus Dead and more. Tyrannosaurus Dead / Joanna Gruesome Split 7″

Tyrannosaurus Dead and Joanna Gruesome release a split 7″ single on Oddbox Records later this month. The former provide a brand new track in the shape of Post Holiday Dead Song whilst the latter provide Anti Parent Cowboy Killers which is taken from last years excellent Weird Sister album.
