Swedish band Hater are currently working on the follow up to 2018’s Siesta longplayer. Sift was originally recorded in order for the band to support their now postponed US tour with the Radio Dept. – wow, that would have been great. Excellent guitar pop from Sweden that draws it’s inspirations from dreampop, indiepop, C86 and to a lesser extent post-punk. The songs are wonderful and the vocals of Caroline Landahl are simultaneously melancholic and gorgeous. Essential listening.
