Laveda – Surprise

Laveda are one of those bands who pop up on a regular basis in my Bandcamp feed due to friends and contacts buying their songs. To be honest the band have not grabbed me as much as my friends and, given the amount I listen to or purchase, I have not ventured further. Jeanines – Latest Light/After All

The new double a-sided single from The Jeanines provides two short and sweet indiepop songs that clock in at ninety seconds each. The band’s retro inspired sound still manages to be distinctive, well they cannot fail to be otherwise given the voice of Alicia Jeanine, but can still send the old timers like me back to the 1980s and the days of fanzines and flexis.
