Figure Section – Cease and Decease
Moody and gloomy coldwave from the Brussel/Bruxelles based duo. The beats are slow whilst the vocals are almost spoken. An atmospheric track that results in a melancholic gothic chiller. It’s backed with Agata S and can be purchased from here.
Social Station – Fallout
Fallout is the lead single from the forthcoming album In the Fallout from the Washington based Social Station. It has a strong 1980s retro feel but it’s title does not refer to the cold war and the threat of nuclear strikes but rather the aftermath of a broken relationship. Another cold war then! In the Fallout is out on November 15 2022 and can be pre-ordered here.
Leathers – Ultraviolet
Another fine slab of darkwave from Leathers, aka Shannon Hemmett of Actors. The pulsating synth-pop beats are punctured by words describing what could be the comfort of a relationship or could it be some form of entrapment or coercion? That dear listener is up to you to decide. Ultraviolet is out now via Artoffact Records.
