Nah… state this is Spring single is their best song yet and who am I to argue? It certainly has a feel good factor about it and you can imagine the wind blowing through your hair whilst admiring the trees on the cover. Joint vocals join jangling guitars and as the song reaches its climax it feels like it’s the ending to a film as our heroes ride off into the sunset. Gars de Gouttiere – Tchou Tchou

The new effort from that Paris based Gars de Gouttiere may suggest that the band has a split personality. Petite Balade is a lovely, short indiepop song with jangling guitars and whispered vocals. However flip side Tchou Tchou Tchoin Tchoin is a full on dance track with those whispered vocals making a return.  The two distinct types of musical styles here may have some scratching their heads but personally I think it’s great that they offer two contrasting songs that, if you think about it, may not be too dissimilar after all. Enids – Worriers

Enids hail from København and make punk inspired diy tweepop. There are four songs on this EP and none make the 2 minute mark being brash, fuzzy and noisy. Now that’s the type of music I love! Mirror Decay – Mirror Decay EP

Barcelona’s Mirror Decay open this, their debut EP, with a pretty damn jaw dropping moment in the shape of Radio. It’s a beautiful track that reminds me of Talulah Gosh’s finest moments. The singers voice is just beautiful over the jangling guitars which at points sound like Blondie’s Dreaming. The backing vocals are pretty damn perfect too. I had better stop gushing now! Beauty Parlour – Fall In Love

Fall In Love is the debut EP from the band that features ex members of the Fungi Girls and Vacations. The EP contains four slices of dreamy indiepop that will warm the cockles of any indiepop and C86 fan’s heart. Jangling guitars and boy/girl vocals rule the roost here and both Chance On You and Jamais Vu would have made my end of 2018 lists if I had heard it the EP in time. Exceptional. Fanclub – Stranger

I gave Fanclub a fleeting mention last month but with this, their third track, let’s give them more of a posting! I love the music and beats on Stranger which is their best track to date. Mixing a bit of synth pop here , a bit of twee there and plenty of indiepop everywhere this track mixes all those ingredients up perfectly. Everything you will want, and need, in a pop song. La Casa De Emma – Refugio Invernal EP

Well after being struck down with an ear infection since the weekend the first thing I have listened to all week is the new EP from Chilean band La Casa De Emma and it’s their first release proper following from the demos released earlier this year. Four of the five songs here don’t top the 105 seconds mark being fast, frantic and damn good. It’s on the final and longest song Skolniks where the band excel mind.
