There is more than in a hint of The Wedding Present musically, in the song title and lyrics found on the ever prolific Sean Turner’s latest single. That’s not a bad thing of course but, like The Reds, Pinks & Purples , it’s becoming harder to distinguish between each song because of the sheer volume. I should not complain I guess because they are quality fuzzy (disposable?) indiepop tunes but I am struggling to remember what the last single sounded like! Ribbon Stage – Playing Possum

The Shop Assistants revival continues – well just look at that album cover for a start! Alongside Star Party, Artsick and Jeanines New York’s Ribbon Stage now re-join the mix two years after their debut EP My Favorite Shrine. The band, who feature vocalist Anni Hilator alongside Mari Softie (Ratas del Vaticano/Tercer Mundo/Exotica/Pobreza Mental) and Jolie M-A (Juicy II/Boys Online), will be releasing their debut album Hit With The Most later this year.
