Well what a hectic month August has been both work and pleasure and more besides. I came back from another break to find out the NAS drive that holds my extensive Bandcamp collection had corrupted. My usual tool of choice for recovered Test Disk failed and as I was contemplating downloading releases individually I came across the Batchcamp browser extension that is written by one of the people behind Buy Music Club. Phew.

I also had collections from 7 Digital (who are owned by the same people behind Bandcamp I believe) as well as Qobuz. These were trickier to download in bulk, having to go onto individual release pages to start downloading using DownThemAll! Extension for the former and using the latter’s download manager. After a couple of weeks, I am almost there! I have also cancelled my Spotify premium subscription. This is one of the articles why. I will still use a free account for playlists for those who do want to use Mixcloud, but with more ethical platforms out there, I know where my money is going in future.

Understandably, that meant a lack of posts this past month, but thankfully not a lack of listening. The August pick of the crop mix is full of indiepop, dreampop, twee, shoegaze, noise pop and more. As ever, enjoy!
