New York’s Iceblynk release their debut self titled EP on October 21 2022. The band, who consist of Andrea Lynn (vocals), Martin Newman (guitar) and James Newman (bass), write that “they began working on music that encompassed elements of their many influences, ranging from the Cure, Lush, and The Sundays to more modern artists such as Melody’s Echo Chamber and Beach House”.
Tragic is the lead single from the EP and is a swirling mix of guitar soaked dreampop with some nice ethereal moments that are brought to life by the voice of Andrea Lynn. Her vocals are distinctive to say the least, being elfin and childlike bringing a theatrical width to the song. That EP should be well worth a listen!
