It’s been a few years since I last mentioned Jakarta’s Seaside so much so I managed to miss their last two singles. New single Foolishly brings me back into their sights and the track is an epic take on the shoegaze genre. It combines ethereal female vocals complete with a melodic dreamy sound that eventually give way to noisy, grunge-like guitars, that build up to a dramatic crescendo. I would have liked to have heard more of that female vocal in the mix but I suppose you cannot have everything. Get it from here.
