So, the end of another year. Priorities may have changed for this blog these past few months (thanks for all the comments) but I am still endeavouring to get the mixes out! The twenty-six songs found in this mix mainly cover indiepop styles of many varieties. Despite listening to plenty of dreampop and shoegaze in 2023 not many have remained stuck in my head for some reason, Spiral XP aside.

As in previous years these songs are in no particular order, but one track has stuck with me throughout 2023 so if I had to pick my (indie-ish) song of the year it would be the krautrock inspired Bang by Melenas which comes resplendent with a very effective video too. Their album Ahora is also worth a listen.

There will be a second mix covering my love of electronica, plus some other nuggets squeezed in too. Until then please, as ever, enjoy these songs that have accompanied me during 2023. Oh, a happy new year, one and all!
