たかが世界の終わ, or Just the End of the World when translated, is a track that has been on continuous rotation this past week and a half. The band, who I think may have left their Damnably home, have produced a fine pop moment on this, their new single.
Fusing present day indie with influences of the past such as garage, girl bands and twee, the song is a delicious tasty morsel that has been devoured by my cloth ears on a daily basis. The vocals give it a cheerful feel, but like many songs these days, the (translated) lyrics hint at something a bit darker. Poptastic!
