Wisconsin’s Klack are unashamedly influenced by the 1980s New Beat and EBM scenes, particularly Front 242 (check out the title) and Nitzer Ebb (check out the beats). Luckily, both bands are amongst my favourite artists and Klack do that retro sound justice here whilst applying the odd update or two.
It’s backed by two remixes. Veterans Portion Control create a darker but danceable version resplendent with some industrial sounds, whilst Crystal Geometry create a full on heavy techno experience.
