The Room – Sleepless

Post-punk veterans, albeit in a reformed guise, The Room have released a second single from their recent comeback album Restless Fate. Titled Sleepless it’s the follow-up to The Drift. It sounds like it could have been released before their original break up back in 1985 with singer Dave Jackson’s voice shining once again. There is some nice fuzzy guitar too, especially towards the end. Along with Crying Face and Cursed Islands, the song is one of the more instantly accessible tracks worth discovering on the aforementioned album.

Restless Fate is out now via 9×9 Records in a range of formats, including a limited edition vinyl release. It can be purchased from here.
