Something For The Weekend? Three From The Inbox

This week’s pack of three features three new releases straight from my Bandcamp inbox.

The Vapour Veils – St Pauls Café

St Pauls Café is the second single to be taken from the forthcoming EP, The Dying Dandy. It’s a tale of unrequited love and just being a friend. Yeah, we have all been there. Magnus Haderborg’s vocals soar over the words and music he has written, and once again the band deliver yet another mini anthem for indie festival mosh-pits everywhere. The Dying Dandy will be out on March 17 2023 but for now you can pick up St Pauls Café from here. It’s backed with Come Home but no, it’s not a cover of that song. They take those UK influences to heart, don’t they?!

Lavndear – Fosfena

Fosfena is the debut EP from Indonesian shoegazers Lavndear. If you think the band name and title sound familiar, that’s because they released the title track alongside another EP inclusion Muram, as a single back in Deecmber. Their brand of ethereal shoegaze is covered here in abundance, and it’s one of the new tracks Buram that shines brightest. Fosfena is out now on Dirtwave Rekods.

Anajunno – Tres

Argentinan band Anajunno return after almost four years away. Tres is a short but glowing dreampop song that errs on the pop rather than the dream! The upbeat sound betrays the morose, well once translated, words! It took a few plays for this one to grow on me, but I am glad I persevered. Get it from here.
